After a couple of seconds of being in Second Life, I begin to experience a pink flashing within the client. It happens at random, and is not consistent. The flashing doesn't go away until after I close Second Life.

This did not happen until the 1.10 update.

I have updated to the latest drivers from Nvidia and I have the latest version of directx installed. There are only the essential programs required for Windows XP Pro to run. I have a Nvidia 6800 Ultra video card. No cooling issues, everything is fine within the case. I know I am not the only one having this problem, however, so I'm wondering if there's a fix for this, an explanation, or at least I'm giving a place for people who are having the same problem to discuss the issue and see if we can find the root of the cause.

Status: Resolved.

I followed the instructions at the bottom of the first post in this thread. It seems to be a problem with the lighting, and changing the options doesn't make it stick, even though I set it for sun and moon only.
