HELP!

(2) of (3) of my machines have flickering textures/displays to the point they are unplayable.. My NEW machine works fine. All (3) have nVida cards in them, the 2 that are flickering are AGP card (FX4200 and GeForce 5900Ultra) with the latest drivers installed (updated to see if the new drivers fixed the flickering..)

Several friends, all with nVidia Pre- PCIExpress, are having the same issues! Clean remove/re-install of Secondlife, Updated drivers 84.21? from nVidia, etc..

NOTHING IS WORKING TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE.

My flickering machines are: P4 3.2 Prescott with 865PE Chipset and an AMD XP2400+ with the Via 400? chipset) [Running the 5900Ultra and FX4200 respectively]

Anyone? Anyone?

UPDATE:

It seems the SL's settings aren't updated right. I found that if I go to the prefs from the login screen, set to Graphic Detail-> Lighting Detail to use the new Nearby Local lights.. APPLY.. EXIT SL... go back and set it to Sun and Moon only, APPLY.. EXIT.. re-run.. it seems to be fixed...

Just toggling it the first few times didn't clear the issue, but that order has corrected both of my Pre-PCI Express systems from that god-awful flickering on Full Bright objects. (Which, by the way.. was only flicking at certain lighting TIMES of the SLDay)

Buildings I've made stop flashing when I turn 'Full Bright' OFF on them, but everything around me that's set to full that I can't edit.. is flashing like a mofo.. The lighting model/support for the nVidia drivers (which.. I've even tried the latest BETA now..) it causing problems. It doesn't matter if I set lighting to sun/moon only, or the all local lights..

textures flashing, what a drag. If this is now the nature of things Im screwed.
I went around turning off the offenders, ( FULLBRIGHT OBJECTS) and that solved most of the flashing problem. Of course, my fullbright no mod objects are going out the window before they drive me nuts. And unfortunetly my neighbors entire castle is flashing. Guess I can just close the curtains.

still having issues here and there but nothing like originally after that update. Gonna try shutting off that fog and see if this will clear it all up
