Spammy Spam Wtf!!!!

Well i have noticed in some of them that they can change the name using a script, it seems to keep altering the name slightly and it just makes it impossible to mute it. its a pretty tricky situation, and the problem is they are fairly simple to script. any intermediate scripter could make one really.

You dont really need any scripting know how to do it, wiki tells ya lol. One things for sure though, something needs to be done because now its been done once, it's only a matter of time till other people copy it. I've tried thinking of ways to stop it and still have it so external legit websites can still work, but other than verifying them, I dunno how else to do so, and if that happens, how would follows and other scripts that rely on UUID work? *gives self a head ache*

Yeah it is a vicious cycle, and its one which needs to be stopped as soon as possible before it gets into noob hands. then we are all doomed.

Sounds like it's already in noobs hands Maybe LL could contact the site where it's being sold and ask them to remove it, then contact the maker and ask him/her not to replicate it. Then maybe delete this post so we havent given out how its done too much lol

Well i know there are atleast 4 independant creators of these things, so its more than one person making it, so they just need to act fast in whatever they do.

It is not one person who has made it, thers about 5 people who have all made it, and from what I can see, they aren ot breaking any rules by making it in the first place, only hte people using it are, but thats the problem, its impossible for us to find out who is using it.

None but thats the problem, LL arent really listening to reports about the creators, trust me iv asked and iv tried. it is in their hands to fix it and they know what they have to do. they just havent moved their ass quick enough. banning the creator is going to do what? nothing because peope already have it. the problem lies with disabling the actual objects.

t least it isn't just me, But now we're back to the age old question, How do we get LL do do anything besides sit there and what us all have our time ruined, and not to mention the financial impact if you happen to be tryin to run a bussiness?!

Well since someone out there knows where it is and how it work, maybe if some of the Lindens themselves had it, it would at least allow them the same enjoyment as we are haveing?

lol well thats the exact question i asked to a few lindens, and they couldn't give me a direct answer, but its being worked on, i know that much.

I have questions about my account. I call the number. A recording comes on saying theres a 8 to 10 min wait. So, i wait. Then theres a recording stating there is no one to take the call that you are to answer a series of questions that will give you a "ticket" assuring that ur call will b returned. One of the questions was... what is your email addy incase we dont get back to you during normal business hours ? HA ! ok so i go to the support site. Emailing was out of the question too. .... Anyone have any ideas that will help me get support help ?
