Can't even log into SL and you want us to be excited about something you should have had from the beginning?

OMFG!! will people shut up about how bad things are in an update? Do you have any idea how tough things were when i started playing SL? we were lucky to get 5 people in a sim without lagging and walking in slo-mo. UGH! Linden Labs is doing a fantastic job! Things have really improved by far a lot since i joined. *applause*

Even the Lindens knows its been a nightmare

-Friends list isn't working half the time.

-Can't place objects from my inventory on other objects, it tries to put them behind my camera and tells me it could not be rezzed.

-My camera is totally broken, I can't zoom in on any object because it no matter how far away the object is it acts as if it's already zoomed in as close as possible, so all it does is flip out for a second then only lets me zoom it. This has made building impossible for me.

-I can't sit on anything, this sort of ties into the camera and rezzing glitch, it acts as if the object is jammed into my camera so it tells me theres no room to sit. In order to sit on anything I have to to target a part of my avatar that doesn't have an object on it with my camera, then maneuver my camera so it's practically inside what I want to sit on, then click sit, and even if I do this it only works half the time.

-This ones been going on since before the update and I'm not sure it's even a glitch but it still pisses me off, if I try to sit on something that's, say, behind a wall my avatar will just walk into the wall for a while before cancelling the sit. It used to be that I would just sit on it no matter how far away it was or what was in the way.

-I can't IM any groups, it just tells me I don't have permission.

All of these piss me off to no end.

Of course, I'm not actually expecting LL to resolve any of these any time soon.

Most paying players have either left this game or have reduced their accounts to the basic free accounts as to not pay to play this game.

But seriously. can you blame them? Of course not, why pay for a game thats so bugged out it's most likely the worse of all on-line games tech wise. And not only is it this bad but the devs don't do anything but make excuses.

Since when the teleportation hasn't been working properly? A very long time and this is just one of the many, many things gone wrong in sl that haven't been fixed. All you see is the devs telling us how hard they've tried to fix this or that but where are the results? there are none.

If you still have a paying account, scale it back to a free one. Show Linden they can't keep jerking the paying clients like they like to do.

I did it. Many of my friends and players I know and knew did it too. Either they left as I did or they stopped paying.

You may see alot of players but the large majority are free accounts. Why do you think they raised the rates on lands? because players for the most part have scaled back getting free accounts instead of paying.

Do the same, best way to get their attention and to get back at them. it's very simple if you look at it.

That is true, but llabs does not care because they are getting ad money instead of paying members money. Whn LLabs stops weekly pay all togthers many people will just downgrade period. Good thoughts good comments!!!!!!!!!!well said

Yeah, I thought that was just the spine spikes I made for my avatar (ok, made them back in January... but, yeah.)

I had dismissed it as an issue with having "wings" (or in my case, a span of prims behind me, similar to the effect of having wings). Turns out that the simple concept of trying to sit somewhere NORMAL, and being told it's "not posssible" or my avatar prances around the spot a few times, goes into FLY mode, then gives up (NOTHING in its way) is not just my problem, but a problem for others....


THAT would be nice to fix.

Like I said... shut the WHOLE system down for 3 days or so, and hammer out some of the major money-losing issues (a lot of us have lost money over some of the more obvious issues.. except for those who have been here since there were only 5 people in a SIM - I guess those guys are still prosperous).

Regarding my premium membership, I have found a very obvious and simple loophole that I won't mention here (because it could render this post a target to be deleted), but I will NOT be renewing my premium account now that I learned how to keep my land without renewing it (it worked), and the way I see it, until they give us a better reason (better incentive) to be a premium member, I will remain NON-premium.

Sorry to SL, but this past couple weeks have been absolutely brutal. I can handle lag, I can handle crashes, and I can handle small errors... but mess with my money, and that is a line I won't allow anyone... ANYONE... to cross.

HOW LONG AM I GOING TO HAVE TO KEEP RELOGGING TO GET MY FRIENDS LIST TO WORK?? ITS A JOKE!!!

And when exactly is the friends list on the website gona be enabled?? its been "temporarily disabled" for too long now!

A lot of the time people that play Second Life make some extra money on it, they don't mind the bugs of the game. Second Life is not just for entertainment and fun, it is also for businesses and other such things. Sure, there are many bugs in the game but people continue to play it because it is also a social experience.
I have gotten very angry quite a few times I can say for a fact at the bugs and sometimes customer service but I continue to play Second Life because I enjoy the social value of it. Really if Second Life lost its social value I would leave in an instant no doubt.
So this is for everyone, Second Life is not just a game, it is a business, a social experience, and also a nice place to get your hands on an easy scripting language to start programming out with.

While it's true they make money off ads this will only continue if the ad companies think the population here is still large and they'll benefit from it. If they saw the population dwindle down then it would be a different story.

This is the reason why now you don't even need a credit card to play this game. You need nothing but to download it and play it. Linden just wants these companies to see bodies out there, even if the large majority don't pay one cent to play.

Land payments have been increased. Lindens, the money in sl have also been increased meaning you now pay more US $ for less game money. These things are all done to compensate for loss of player payments due to the games wanting more players even if it meant getting them here free.

Even better more popular games then this one have fallen due to inept care from management. No game is immune to this, not even this one. Sooner or later it all comes to a full circle.

Well LLabs is taking the concept of "GAME" out and putting in "Business" now. Don`t for the Money tree farms, money chairs/dance Pad AFK people.

A while back I called it a "Life" But now I call it a game because the human factor more less is far from it.

U said u r working on it. Is this the new reply. I looked at teh Beta support page u all have up and NO ONE is assigned to this problem. But u sit there and say we are working on it. How can I believe you when nothing is being Done? No one answers a phone, No One replies in game (Wait there is no more in game help) I been filing bug reports and NO ONE even recognizes anything. But hey Two thumbs up to u all (And if u believe that I have some ocean Fron property to sell u in North Dakota). So stop all the BS and fix what is wrong or hell just acknowledge things.


This is a out of control problem. And for who ever said to stop complaining, I was here back in the day and let me tell u that where u went must have been really bad cos I remember the days of no lag, no grievers, no texture problems, just some minor issues. But LLabs like any other company only care about one thing MONEY! If they cared about there customers they would at least answer the phone. But they dont do that even.

For weeks now I've been unable to remain logged in for more than 10 seconds. I have just under L$100,000 in bank accounts I can no longer access due to constant crashes. I'd love to take out all my money and leave the game forever, but I can't even check my balances!

Things were FINE until a new version was released at the end of march/beginning of april... and then all the troubles started. Since then, I've been unable to do anything in SL. I've cleared my cache a billion times, it's not my computer as EVERY OTHER PROGRAM works just fine... only SL has issues. I'd love to downgrade my account but I have just recently bought an annual membership... so I guess I'm screwed for a year, eh?

Can anyone help me?

Ok what about the telporting issue. failing 100% around sl during the past few days. Loging people out.....Tell me this are you working on it? or sitting on it

OK, ban the nonpaying members like me from the paying areas. Be prepared to lose a lot of income in your shops as well, just because we have free accounts doesnt mean we dont spend the money we work dam hard to get.
We're already penalised by not being able to buy land so that we can in fact run our own businesses!!!!!
