Is anyone else having this problem? I pay for an item, I get the you paid and the accept the item messages, but the items are nowhere to be found, and yes I am sure they are not in the trash or lost & found. It has happened 3 times now in the past two days.

It has happened 3 times now in the past two days. if you accepted the item as you mentioned, re-log sometimes inventory doesn't update properly.. if you didn't get the "accept item" box and this was at a vender look at the following thread: take a look at: /111/76/45917/1.html All I can say in this case is to contact the merchant.. _____________________

I know that problem. IT happens. Not often but it does.
I always go back and lock in the list of bought items.. check its drawn from the Linden Account (Linden Credit card d). IF so.. I contact the seller.. tell time for purchase and up o know the send it to me via the inbuilt system. Once I got wrong thing.... and did the same all was exchanged an al lucky.. People are friendly in SL.. |

It happened twice to me yesterday. Luckily Lost was nice enough to just give me the items

*edit* I read after I posted that you did get the "accept inventory" message. The issue with busy would not apply then, though I'm not sure about the "stack heap" error. The vendors "appear" to the customer to be working, but do not give the item. I'm leaving the rest of my post incase someone experiences this problem that is not related to a 1.6 bug./*edit* I had a customer today report not getting an item. This was because my vendor had a stack heap error and had to be reset. Another reason, and I admit that I have done this myself, has been because I was in busy mode, forgot, made a purchase and even though I paid the vendor, I couldn't get the item because.. well I was set on busy. I did that twice before I found out that was the reason. So yes, definately contact the merchant. They can tell from their account history that you purchased an item, and it may alert them to a possible issue with their vendor. I noted the other threads about server side issues, so I'm not making light of those reasons, just pointing out two common reasons I have experienced as a buyer and a seller of items. ![]() Take care, Taylor _____________________

Not sure if this is an asset server issue but was at a tringo game today, but people had paid into the board and it wasnt showing into pot, in account history it shows up as being paid to correct person, but the person who owns the board never recieved the money

Yesterday I purchased twice and both times I had to ask the makers for the product as the money was taken, but no product was received.
I wish things would run as they should, it is awful to have to ask two makers to send you the product, I don't want it to be perceived that I am trying to get something for nothing...luckily wuvme Karuna and Zyrra Falcone were sweeties and sent me what I bought right away...thanks ladies *hugs* |

Truth is, there are some serious problems going on with SL right now. I'm sure Lindens are tearing their hair out trying to get them all resolved. These problems are in extreme lag, lack of data transfer (which definitely affects inventory), failure to complete teleport, etc etc etc. Yes, I have several times had inventory fail to transfer, not just from a vendor to a user, but between users.
One such bug I found is that when one user tries to give a non-copyable inventory item to another user and that second user either refuses it or doesn't get it-- it doesn't return to the original user's inventory. It is gone, forever. Such things definitely need to be fixed. But until/if they are, the recommendation: watch your back and if you lose something, contact the vendor. Vendors know what is going on and often will be most friendly in helping you receive your item. We know a lesson that LL could use: better to lose an argument than lose a customer. ![]() |

i'm a new designer, trying to get people to enjoy and appreciate my work and i've now gotten about 8 IMs that peeps are being charged and not receiving items. i go to the shop where they purchased and the sign is right and others have bought and received from the exact same sign without issue. the "bug" happened to a good friend of mine so i know its legit as she wouldn't purposefully screw me or whatever.
i'm really new to the game, but with the log in issues - 45 minutes to get in??? - and this, i'm just a lil turned off by the world right now. its making me look bad, dammit LOL. |

I also purchased items, and so did my partner, which we did not receive. The sign comes up that I (and he) paid, but on 3 occassions we did not receive the item. That was roghly $1200L spent with no items received. Not happy. We have IM'd the vendor/s, but have heard nothing back so far.
Also had problems transferring items to each other, though eventually that did work after several attempts. |

Agreed on all points.. this is realy getting %&$#&^%&%&^% annoying.. I don't mind replacing items but.. its hassle for us all. especially since i can barely log in!!!!.. i have crashed at log in many times and have lost all the IM's i had. so pls if anyone has tried to contact me and i havent responded. pls be patient and persistant.. im not ignoring you. in the mean time keep sending in bug reports.. what else is one to do.

The problem appears to be related to the money() event.
I purchased 2 items at Pixel Dolls yesterday, I only got one of them. No response from the proprieter yet, maybe she's not been online. Also people have bought things from me and had the same problem. As long as I can see the purchase in my transactions I will hand over the goods personally until this problem is fixed. [edit: assuming i can ever get back in ! ] |

Well, this problem is still happening and it's embarrassing to have to keep going to the vender and telling them I didn't get what I paid for. I have started relogging before purchasing anything now, it seems to help.

I have started relogging before purchasing anything now, it seems to help. It is definitely a system/grid issue (well, except for those cases where a vendor isn't properly configured, of course). The one thing I've noticed, though, is that when the vendor doesn't dispense due to grid issues, neither does it debit my account (nor credit my account as a merchant) for the purchase. In other words, if you're both not receiving the product and not seeing a decrease in your L$ balance, then it is a grid problem. If you are being charged, then it is probably a vendor configuration problem. Hope that at least helps a tad bit. (Note that I've experienced this both as a merchant and as a consumer.) _____________________
