Everytime I create a New Folder, I crash. First FPS tanks, then, after it gets low enough, the client manages to update the ping times, which have become huge. Obviously, somewhere in the events that immediately succeed the New Folder creation, something happens to my connection, as far as client updates are concerned. Land music continues. Sometimes, the minimap goes red, sometimes part of it goes red, sometimes none of it goes red, but I don't need its clues to know I've crashed--I can't move at all, immediately after the creation of a new folder.
I have almost 10,000 items in my inventory--I'm going to move a bunch of textures out or delete them and see if it helps. However, I am not hopeful, but I need to "clean house" anyway.
Edit addition: I have reduced my inventory and still crash very nicely merely by creating a new folder within any top level folder like Clothing, for example. Crashing is a heavy price to pay for putting one's inventory in order.

 It is similar but not identical. I can open any folder without a problem, no matter how complex the folder's organization. I can also search my inventory without problem. However, from the moment I right-click a folder to create the new folder, then begins the collapse of FPS. If I don't select anything in the drop down menu called by the right click, FPS recovers, but if I select creating a New Folder, I've consigned myself to the Goddess of Crashing People Who Tidy-Up Too Much, to be delivered only by relogging. I have bug reported it, btw, which I forgot to mention in my first post. _____________________
