Make a radio, sell it to them for a dollar. Then it works on their land. If it's group land, deed it to the group.

I think you might be asking: can someone who is not the parcel owner control the URL that is streaming to the parcel? The answer is yes.

I've done a radio, that so far I haven't marketed, that contains an access list notecard the owner of the plot puts AV names of trusted people (no need to be in a group) into and rez's it on their land. After which, if an authorized AV touches it, it starts listening for that AV on a high channel and the AV can just speak the URL to it. We use a 2 prim "rack" version at the Virtual Garage build in Burnet and I also made a small desktop radio version (1prim) that we use all over the castle I live in.

If you can get the owner to agree to rez it, it's even simpler to make a script that allows anyone to change - but you might not get many takers.

Raster's note card access radio is a good option

I use a radio that holds ten notecards and all of my freinds on the access list can access all stations. The creator's first name is Raster.

Alternatively you can just use WinAMP or similar external media player.

My retail radio works on group owned land, so long as an officer of the group deeds it.

If it's not group owned, the land owner can set it to a group for which you are a member, just be sure to have your current group tag "active".

Mine does the same as Weedy's. Most of them should, although some may have listens etc. that filter for the owner I guess.

Mine also has a 'usable by all' - it still needs to be deeded to the group for group land, but you can set it so that anyone can control it.

A radio that you own that works on someone else land is, I'm afraid, impossible. The same way that you as a visitor can't open their about land and actually change (or see) the URL of their radio stream, only scripted objects owned by the land owner (individual or group) can actually change it.

It might be paranoia, but it's a not entirely unreasonable anti-griefing tool.
