Items Disappearing !?!:!?

I am having a serious problem, with items disappearing from my inventory.

This has now happened on three different opccaisions. I take the items from inventory and place them into the world. Within an hour to a day the items disappear from the world and can't be found anywhere. They are not in the world anywhere nearby, not in thier proper file location, not in Trash or Lost and Found.

So far, this has happened with a new airplane and with approximately 70 invidiual club/discp lights.

Prim coiunt has not the reason for these instances of diassapeaance.

Any one else experiencing this? Any suggestions????

Ok, He talked to me. What am I going to do about it?

This is not a 'gone from the client' or some client bug.

This is a 'gone from the server'.

Instead of talking to ME about it, suggest that the Linden Liasion walk over to the BUGS department and ask whether they've read our bug reports and whether or not they can fix this egregious (sp?) bug.

What is the use of building content in world if it just randomly disappears forever?

Torley (and any other Linden)... I am trying my BEST to control myself, but just to demonstrate my frustration, allow me to jump out of character and be like everyone else on the forums for just a second.

Don't wait till next Wednesday. Fix it as soon as you find it. Stop working on everything else and find and fix this bug.

I just lost a prim attachment and a few other bits and pieces from a dragon avatar, got it replaced by the maker

Now my *main* custom skin has disappeared, and I get a pop-up message say it cannot be loaded and to contact the creator when I try to wear it, however the creator is now listed as 'nobody'. The other skins from that vendor are still loading I've just lost the one I was wearing up to my last avatar change, anyway, I've logged off, very worried, before anything else goes wrong

What's actually happening here, any clues ?

All this stuff was lost direct from inventory though, it wasn't out in world at the time.

I have had stuff just poof away...entire buildings, walls, floors, you name it. hmmmmm might things be getting worse instead of better?? I have had major texture issues as well. I have many textures which are no trans but fill mod, copy. I have used these textures for over a year. Now, I apply one to an object and try to copy that object and it says I lack copy perms even though I do not. In addition I have had major problems with using these textures when building and while in edit mode. I would apply a texture to a wall for example and it would then not show up again in my texture select window when I would try to apply to a 2nd wall.

I contacted Live Help on this issue and spoke to Dee Linden who stated "must be a bug and there is no fix" This was never an issue before.

Why is SL so bloody unstable?? I am sure and certain that a better solution is available and further I am quite sick and tired of the rudeness encountered from customer service when you even get customer service. I have countless examples of my own and have heard even worse from friends. We are not paying for a smartass attitude thank you very much but rather would like to experience some actual kind custoemr service reps. I do not think it is too much to ask for some professional staff.

Last night one of the TeaZers Instructors mentioned that his class recorder object just 'poofed' and he was unable to complete his class report.

Other places in this same thread, people are complaining that items are disappearing directly from their inventory.

How many people would notice a random item disappearing from their inventory?

With almost 6,000 items, I know that I wouldn't, unless it was something I used all of the time.

This problem is still with us, and needs some attention.

Just to add a postscript, my main skin was loadable and wearable again after the patch, though that still doesn't explain the disappearance of the other items, and yes indeed it makes me wonder what else might have silently dropped out of my inventory which to my great shame now numbers some 14,000 items and seriously needs pruning

I've heard from others that items have been lost recently too....
