Card charged for no reason????

Hi. Sorry if this is the wrong place.
I have a basic account on here, and I went to setup my credit card to buy Linden$... Well after I set it up I noticed that it took a dollar out of my card... I was okay with it at first, I went in to buy some L$ with the remaining $2.50 on my card... It wouldn't let me... I kept getting an error... So I figured I would redo the application again. I did that and it did not give me my money back AND it charged me another dollar!! I wanted to know what this was about... I waited for the thing to show my card on the page... It says "$0.00">_<; I wanted to know why it is doing this, and why it took money from my card just for setting up the card on my SecondLife.com page... It does not say anywhere on the page about it.... Any help would be most appriciated.

And, prior to that it has been covered on other occasions. Ow, I see. The $1.00 charge is to make sure the account is good. then it will send the money back.(^_^) okay thank you. lol... I still have to wait a few days then(^_^). I only have $0.50 on the card now LOL. I can understand why they do the test charge then. thank you VERY much. I owe you one. If you need help in Second Life just IM me(^_^). My computer is older though so it is laggy(<_> I can still help with some stuff though. Like I said, I owe you(^_^)(^_^)(^_^)(^_^)(^_^)(^_^)(^_^)
