Hello everyone,
Recently I bought some land and starting building, decided to change it around so I cleared the land and returned everything to me and the group. Well, I have 351 prims and it says I have 59 in use, the thing, I don't see them, oh but some are invisible because I can run into them and get stuck. I tried clicking show, return over 50 times and they wont leave. I have 9 that are "sat upon" and 5 "owned by others" that won't go away. Thats 59 prims I am getting wasted from because they are stuck or some other reason. The owner of my land is never in the game, so I am not sure what to do. Can someone please help me?
The coordinates to my land is: Toorak (207,29,21)
Thanks a lot, Inno McCallen

After several months of not hearing about it, this is the 2nd time in as many days (or maybe it's been 3 days) that I've heard of the problem where things fail to rez correctly but are still getting charged to the parcel they tried to rez at and still being dealt with by the physics engine, even though they're not really there. Or at least that's sorta what this sounds like. Inno, try mapping http://slurl.com/secondlife/Toorak/0/0/0/ then move as close to that spot as you can and using your camera to see if there's stuff there..

Meade,
I tried what you said but without moving and using only camera controls, I can't get close enough to my land to see it.

Try setting Disable Camera Constraints in the Client menu.. If you don't have the client menu, press ctrl-alt-d to enable it. This will unlock the camera restrictions and let you cam all over the place, even underground.

You have ghost objects. A region restart will take the selected/sat upon objects away.

Then another restart may fix it..
I'd still try to get close to 0/0/0 and see if there's anything there, though - I've seen a bunch of cases where a restart did not fix the problem until the stuff there was cleaned up. If there's nothing there, ask the sim owner/estate manager to restart the sim..

The owner, Tray McGill hasn't been on in weeks. I heard from his helpers, that he is barely on. :/

It does not take much to get ghost objects. I have long suspected that they occur when someone crashes while sitting on something. I have had a person in my sim crash while driving a car. The car disappears, but then its like an invisible wall where it was. And the selected/sat upon count stays in the objects tab of About Land. It has happend to me several times. Request a restart from support. It works every time. Be sure to mention that you have "ghost objects".

From: Inno McCallen The owner, Tray McGill hasn't been on in weeks. I heard from his helpers, that he is barely on. :/ I agree that you have ghosted objects. Your landlord can request a region restart via the Support section of this website without coming online ( https://secure-web11.secondlife.com/community/support.php). I would send him a desperate IM, he probably has them going to email. Have his estate managers do the same, if you can. If that doesn't work after a few days, then as a last resort perhaps one of the people on this thread might have an idea. /54/c8/224664/1.htmlOh, and you might want to consider moving at some point. Most estate owners are MUCH more available, or give their estate managers authority to take care of such things.

It's ctrl-alt-d... Press it a few times while watching the menus at the top of the screen.. From: Nika Talaj Your landlord can request a region restart via the Support section of this website without coming online.. If it's not a busy sim, a Linden might restart it for him (him?) too.. One more post to 2000, Nika!

I think if you go to "View" on the menu bar, there is a "highlight transparent". Then you can see to delete or whatever.

/me stops by Innos sim and looks around. Apparently the estate owner did restart it - Inno says the problem is now gone.
The 1024m2 at the SW corner of the sim, where 0,0,0 is, is access-only so you can't get too close to it. I couldn't see anything there but then turned on beacons for scripts and there's 8-9 things there. Inno's problem may be fixed but I'd bet one of his neighbors has some more ghostly bumps on their land..
