Hello I live in Dresden as most of you know we cant log in right now DNS HOST problem. If you have had problems with logging or crashing ,Lag,packet loss or any thing in the last couple of months then please download this program WinMTR its a ping tracer install program type this in the host name data.agni.lindenlab.com
and push start if the second line of host has 100% packet loss please let me know if you have the same problem. Lindens say it has to do with our internet provider T-Com.

See /111/ff/201390/1.htmland JIRA WEB-257 https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-257If anyone has Linden Phone support, try to get them to get a network tech ping you back or to look at WEB-257 immediately (while the problem persists).

FIRST one? Rubbish. I already called bloody Telekom four times, always the same stupid excuses-some don't even know what a DNS server IS. I had that months ago with other pages not loading and it took ages for the Telekom to actually tell me that yes, they have a problem...somewhere...but it would be too technical for me to understand. I had the login crash without saying its a DNS error too, but in the end it actually WAS a DNS error-when I use Nicholaz' browser, it gives the correct error message.

From: Tod69 Talamasca Why couldnt you just open a command prompt, type in "tracert" and then lindenlab address? Try the utility and you'll know why...it has some more options and besides just keeps pinging away until you stop it, so you're able to watch what's happening for a while instead of doing a tracert again and again.

Some 2 years ago, Tiscali introduced a 'translator server' which apparently uses recomplied coding for DNS addresses throughout Europe, the 'idea' was that they could squeeze more DNS addresses out of the system and increase throughput. The whole excercise was a joke, big packet loss, timeout latency as these 'codex' reinterpreted every DNS through the system, which caused huge problems. It took me several months to get Tiscali to uncouple my BT line at the exchange so I go with a different provider. What is happening now through Europe, is interleaving your broadband connections, effectively increasing the contention ratios for your shared access. They do this to increase customer base and to try and catchup with the access race. Many countires enjoy 10-100mbps connections, mainly because they use fibre optic connections, European providers will not spend the money upgrading existing infrasctructure, only new installations. Anyone on an old system, is simply lumped together with interleaving putting contention ratios into the 1,000's over a bigger pipeline. Capping is also another mostly 'hidden' feature of our new connection speeds, it's done transparently and is usually hidden within the small print about 'reasonable use' even on 'Unmetered/Unlimited' connections.
