Dunno. I was in the middle of a build and was logged out. That was after our sim was rebooted by the Lindens earlier today. I take it this is a grid-wide shut-down.

so interesting... wonder if this is a satellite problem too

what I find interesting about the sudden shutdown of the grid just now is that 15 minutes previously a linden spent half an hour telling me that all of my connection and graphics ressing issues were due to my satellite connection, and do not expect any support for the product I pay for because I connect in an unsupported manner with inferior technology.
"yes we will be happy to take your money as long as you know you will get no support"
as I stated in my post to this thread: /111/88/70983/1.html

never mind that the program ran wonderfully before 1.7
never mind that my neighbors in our sim were having the same or WORSE issues on hardwired broadband
just ignore the fact that I have read countless posts from others having exact same problems with lesser or better equipment then I have (brand new dell dimension E510)
*shrugs* as my friend and partner is pointing out to me, I can either bail, and play a froob (free newbie) account, and watch and wait, or I can pay $$$$ and just hope that they stop stepping on their hypothetical body parts and actually make it work like it did when I first tried it...

Yes i have Charter Cable and had very bad problems with SL before with the 1.7 update. I would crash from every 30 seconds to 15 min. I found that i had viruses and such so i used Norton to block it...then SL would crash due to having a firewall up lol. But since they just updated SL now its been running great with low crash rate with Norton on.
