I need to set my preferences to help me stop crashing because of my Intel graphics card please tell me what my prefferences should be set at.

SL does not and will not work properly with an Intel graphics device. Intel's OpenGL implementation is too flawed, and their hardware sucks. Further, the differences between different models of graphics chipsets are too great to easily determine what drivers might be suitable based solely upon manufacturer. It's not like ATI or Nvidia's offerings, where one driver fits all. You need to know exactly which model of graphics chipset you're using.

See this thread for suggestions on drivers. You may get lucky and find some driver that will allow it to run, possibly even without crashing, but it's unlikely to be fast enough to be usable.

Your best option is to determine if you have a free AGP slot, then to fill it with a video card. If you have a laptop, there's not likely anything you can do.

Do you know the make and model of your computer? If it's not a prefab computer, do you know the make and model of your motherboard?
