Oh when i log in now I get some popup about my cloths still downloading and all that fun stuff now, then after that the screen goes to were my avatar should be but all you can see is water and clue herizan. I cant talk, sent IM, my money doesnt show up, i have bandwith though, and i cant actually see my avatar. I have no clue what to do!

you might list what kind of system you are using, what graphics card, etc. that would give us (people on forums) an idea of what might be wrong.

I really need some help can someone please give me some help? Nothing i do seems to make it work, ive adjusted the bios, upgrades my drivers, generally sped my computer and prossessing power up by a few percents, which i am impressed about, but still no Second Life!

Nope, its not a texture thing, its the whole sim, and i tried using IE to start SL in another sim and it didnt work either. Nothing works yet is connected yet isnt. I need help! Its been like this for like 7 hours!

Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling SL?

Just to make sure we all understand, you've used SL before on this computer with no problems and this just started acting up today? Do you get any sort of error message at all while you are there in the void? Do you hear sounds? Can you open the map or events windows? Oh and also, what kind of connection are you on and do you use a wireless network?

My wireless network never posed a problem before this new update. I have used it before, I have used it earlier today. I have ADSL which clocks at 1300K more or less. I have sounds turned off so i wouldnt know. I can open the map and event windows however they are not fed any information.

Has SL worked for you before?

If you can't see ANYTHING in Second Life except the sky and ground, you may be trying to log in from a bad location. Close Second Life, then click on this link:

secondlife://ahern/120/0/

When Second Life appears, log in normally, and ignore the "due to a server problem..." message.

If you're trying to connect over a wireless link, try plugging into your router directly. Yes, even if it worked fine before. The microwave band (I assume you have 802.11b/g) is insanely prone to interference. Even if YOU haven't done anything, it doesn't mean your neighbours haven't.

I can log in, i can see chat from people who are presumidly around me, i dont show up as being online and i cant chat back, nor can i use IMs. I took a few screenshots.

Also, I tried the directly connecting to my modem thing, it didnt work out. Im still having problems, although it slowly does seem to be less severe now. Still unudable though.

Please also verify that there are NO other programs running on your computer. Check the icons in the lower-right-hand tray as well. Open the Windows Control Panel and verify that the Windows Firewall is off.

If you're using any wireless networking, try a wired network connection instead.

Ok i got a status update, after 10 min of half freezing -server no like me- mode there is a half transparent hot-tub and a crater next to me, and i can sorta use ims now. Also one strand of my object hair showed up and my lip-ring is there too, although the rest of my avatar is completely ghosted, however i can click the ground were my Avatar should be. I still cant move or anything though.

yea i already tried that. I didnt help any. Im getting food bandwith most of the time, and im getting most of the time low packet loss... I dont how whats going on... i really need some help.

Yea, their suggestions so far havent helped at all. Its still... bad. The attactments for some reason however havent been working so... thats kinda bad. Ive posted about all the information i can think of to describe the problem... If you have any specific queastions please ask them, if you have any suggestions that havent already been made then please make them. I need this fixed...
