AVG is anti-virus not firewall. If you are running AVG you probably have an icon next to your computer's clock with is a square split into 4 squares which are yellow, black, green and red.
Oh you are right, I had a complete brain fart there sorry.
I do run AVG free edition as well though and haven't
had any problems updating.
