How come the friends list is having so many issues and still not working properly since the last update as well as the friends online via the SL website disabled? This is all so frustrating and i havent read one issue anywhere including blog that this is a known issue and is going to be fixed or even what is wrong.

Nothing seems to address whether the friends online feature of the site will be fixed/reinstated. No amount of clearing cache or relogging will bring that back. :(

Hmm... that the "friends"-part of the site is not working is just a minor issue to me. I mean, it has been disabled before.

But if you want to see who of your friends is online, you just log in and check?

Didn't work for me, Morwen. My friend list said everyone was offline until I sent out IM's...then they popped up.

I dont see why we should accept that we have to log in and check whos online when list always shows everyone offline and the website list is disabled. Its pathetic, I check the website as its quicker than loggin on especially if ur goin on for a particular reason. We now have to log on, see everyone offline, check in search or IM them and hope for the best. Pathetic!

I must say that this Friend's List problem is really annoying and I also find it extremely frustrating that it does not seem to be addressed anywhere. The forum links referenced above do not offer any useful information regarding this problem, it's mostly just people telling those of us who are frustrated to "just leave". I find the online Friend's list to be very useful and am sad to see it inactive but what really bothers me is that there is no indication of when it might be fixed, LindenLabs seems to be very poor at communicating with it's users and I think that causes a lot of the frustration we feel.

In world the Friend's List is hit and miss. I can log in, see no one active on my friend's list but then when I view my friend's profiles I see that many of them are currently online. If I send them an IM then they pop back up as online. Often I can log off and back on and all of the sudden all the Friends will show up as being active, it seems totally random. Has anyone seen anywhere that this problem has even been acknowledged by Linden Labs and a post about when it might be fixed? I don't understand why these serious problems are not referenced in the blog entry for 1.15.0 issues but I just don't see it anywhere.

I must say that otherwise I have been very happy with this latest update, my performance is better than ever and I seem to be crashing much less. I love sl and am willing to give them some time to work these thing out but it sure would be easier to take if Linden Labs would take some ownership of these issues and provide some useful communication to its user base.

Well, after reading through some more threads I found a link to the bug report, at least the problem has been acknowledged and is being worked on. I still think that this problem is so serious that it should be mentioned on the blog page in the 1.15.0 issues posting. And I'm sorry for contributing to another duplicate post.

Please go to the jira site. I know its a rat's nest as far as interface but just follow this link :
https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-100

the WEB-100: is the web browser/site friends list
the SVC-85: is the inworld friends list issue

Please vote on the issue so that maybe they can get a bit more manpower on it.
