After suffering from the game not finding my textures following a previous optional update, I reverted to an older version and everything was ok. I have just returned from 2 weeks vacation and downloaded the compulsorary update. The game cannot find my textures again. I try to texture an object but the box says no textures found, yet all those textures are in my inventory.
Without textures I cannot make any of the things I sell, or do my job as a decorator. My in game livelihood depends on them, and I have spent a small fortune creating and uploading them. Is there any way round this problem?
PLEASE HELP, without textures I might as well quit!!!!

Hello Zan. I had the same problem earlier only that I "lost" my other essential stuffs as well like clothes, shoes, etc. But I was advised to clear my cache by some fellow SL players and after it, all my stuffs are back. To clear cache, go to: Preferences -> Network -> Clear Cache -> Apply SL needs to be restarted after doing this. I hope it will work for you too.

Thank you Ginger for your suggestion, sadly it didnt work. I cleared the cache and relogged, then I selected an object to texture, the message said searching, and then said nothing found. All the textures are in my inventory.... (sighs mournfully). I appreciate your attempt to help.

I'm having the same problem, (Cleared cache as well, didn't help me either)
What I have been able to do though, is start typing in the name of the texture you are looking in the texture selection search box and they will start popping up in the texture selection window.
That's working for me at least.
Good luck.

I have had luck typing names of textures or inventory items then backspacing one keystroke then retyping the last character, or variations on this theme.
Hope this helps.

I've found these workarounds helpful for my avatar, so maybe it will help you too on the texture problems.
Copy any texture you have to the topmost Inventory folder. It seems to give it a jump start on searching.
Type the first letter of your texture that you are looking for and wait. It will usually find the list and then you can slowly type another letter, and another letter. The searching seems to be timing out somehow and not finding the textures as a result. Many times in my listing it will show not found, but be showing the right texture in the window preview.
To get my full list (on a bad day or if I can't remember the name of the texture I want) you can search for "Texture" which will bring up your textures folder in the window . (Remember to type slowly) then when you backspace the search to blank, you are left with your textures in the list. Sadly, though, you have to do this every time you open the texture picker, so it's tedious but at least it's useable for me.
You can also drag a texture from your inventory to an item so if you can find it there, you can apply it in that manner.
One thing I've yet to find a workaround for though, is textures that have no-transfer permissions. They just won't show in my texture picker. If anyone has found a solution, please let me know.
