two current bugs not fixed:

1. Estate to Estate teleporting

2. Water vanishing.

New Bug:

1. Takes several clicks to close windows and open mini map into the big map. But I can still click once and open doors and use teleports

New Bug reports added since origional post made:

1. #7 (home) key no longer works.
Notice: I have heard that closing chat will have the home key work for flying. I still consider this a major bug and a fault of the system.

2. Description: The World started shaking while I was laying down in my basement. I was not looking at another web page or doing anything else. The camera acted like it wanted to do a counter clock wise rotation around me but the side of the basement was stopping it.

Steps to reproduce the bug:UNKNOWN

Observed results: See Description above

Expected results: Camera remains still when I am not moving it.

This is from my latest bug report.

Sit on a prim and receive a script generated IM and pop off.

And building is now a nightmare with the changes in ALT-(WASD). need an extra set of hands now.

Objects disappear when edit clicked

Drop a tiny prim - click it to edit and it disappears. Wait a bit and it reappears.

"Bugs so far in this latest update".

Now that's one hell of an understatement if there ever was one. Bugs and updates are married in secondlife. Married and living well off it's residents.

and who thought of these view control changes???
12-14-2006 09:29
i rekkon the linden family hired a stagiar or smtng that never played secondlife before or that's from another planet where they have like 3 or 4 arms.

I mean ... i dont mind if they put in extra viewcontrols in but why the hell did they take the ALT +WASD mode out????? this way its impossible to work or interact using one hand on the keyboard and 1 hand on the mouse.

Can anybody tell me 1 benefit of this new viewmode???

Maybe it's my PC but my HOME key only works intermittently since the patch - about 1/2 the time, I have to hold PAGE-UP to fly.. (edit: chat bar being open hoses HOME fly)

Also noticed that I can't select (for copy/paste) a residents names from their profile any more.

Seeming to crash a lot more now, too. :(

The number 7 (Home) key no longer works. This can't be a feature. I think they need to get a team of people on this at once.

When I'm editing something, if I move it or resize it, it jerks partway back to where it was before. I finally gave up on getting exactly the size I wanted. Now this was a one prim box I had created myself to make a simple billboard.

Brenda- I saw that behavior too... make sure you're not stretching the prim over in a way that causes your pointer to stray into the 'grid snap' boundary... or over other windows, that seemed to be what was causing it for me.

Seen so far in a few hours of being in world since the update:
1 client crash. (I usually go weeks without a client crash.)
2 sim crashes. (the sim I live in crashes around once daily.)

I also noticed "something" different about particles... can't put my finger on it though... Overlapping alpha textures seem to 'blend' a little better. I think I like it.

I guess my usage patterns are different than the rest of you. I don't use the home key, or anything keys to the right of the 'return' really... and the only keys I use to move the camera are alt/shift/ctrl with the mouse, so most of this has been painless for me.

The only thing that I didn't adjust to fairly quickly was having to double-click on the mini-map.

Now the Home (7) key works to toggle fly on/off only when the Chat window is closed. (Click "Chat" to toggle.)

If the Chat window is open, the Home key moves the cursor to the beginning of the chat line (End key moves it to the end) like a normal input field. Seems more consistent, however hitting the left/right arrow keys obviously moves your avatar instead of the cursor.

I prefer the old key mapping so hopefully they'd make it configurable in the future.
