Is anyone able to run this combination? Is it true that the current Vista RC1 ATI drivers don't include Open GL? I am running Vista as a second OS just to see if it is OK, and a few things about XP are making me want to use it more, like key stickyness. I am getting tired of turning full circles when I don't want too

Yakumo, I believe some Lindens have run Vista pre-releases, not in the same combination as you mention. Earlier: /111/cc/108571/1.html#post1053254As it's not fully out yet, we haven't formally approved it for use with Second Life. If it works for you in the meantime, then great. I haven't tried it myself but as experiences can widely vary, I'm going to move this to Technical Issues for more insights from fellow Residents.

Install Catalyst 6.8 under Vista, but first set your graphic card to "VGA Standard".
SL will run, but you will lose Aero.

G. Thanks for the tip, I will give that a try. How do you set the card to VGA standard?

go to device manager -> update driver on graphic card -> select manual driver selection and from there chose "VGA Generic" or "VGA Standard"
