So just use the face/upper-lower body templates from sl.com? Yep, or use one of the two sets of alternate templates. You can find links to them in the sticky thread of links at the top of the forum. The UV mapping on the SL avatar is completely different than the mapping on Poser's mannequins. _____________________

I put it in presets/photoshop actions but I can't see where to use it in photoshop... I am so confused right now. |

Hi Silent, I can respond briefly to your questions now, but won't be able to check back for quite a while because I am conducting RL business on a mobile connection with limited access to the internet.
The action set is what you should be placing in presets/photoshop actions (the file that ends in *.atn). The Photoshop file can be accessed anywhere on your hard drive through Photoshop. This action set is an optional file, and is not needed to work with the kit. Once you open the kit's PSD file in photoshop you will be presented with multiple layer sets. A background knowledge of Photoshop alpha channels, layers, layer sets, and layer effects is needed to be able to use this kit effectively. In it's present state you can manipulate all of the default LL alphas (all the greyscale images in this file) and drop them into the "Channels" location in Photoshop to be used as a new alpha channel. The "color workshop" layer set is the area that allows you to manipulate final makeup and skin effects based on the alpha selection, and save the resulting fills and layer effects out as TGA copies ready for upload into SL. Further reading about this kit is here. |
