Profile Pictures aspect ratios and size?

I am just writing up the picture aspect ratios for the Profile (see below) and wondered what the minimum/suggested size is for these textures - they are very tiny so perhaps 128 width is plenty? What does the team think? ;o)

PS and what were LL thinking when they made them such odd sizes!?

Aspect Ratios
----------------
2nd Life - Photo : 8 x 6 (4 x 3 - the same ratio as a standard monitor)
Picks : 9 x 5
Classified : 9 x 6 (3 x 2)
