Hello all, Apologies, I'm sure this has been covered in one of the longer posts, but after reading a few paragraphs of the stickies my mind starts to turn to jelly... What is recommended as a proper uploading size for a classified ad or a profile "pick"? I've noticed my 512x512s tend to get a bit fuzzy and distorted. I was thinking maybe a 1024x512? I notice that the classified pix and the profile "picks" are a more rectangular shape than square. Suggestions please!! Thank you in advance. -Sera

Best trick is to create a large pic in photoshop (1024x1024 or 2048x2048, if you can) or whatever program you use, then shrink it down to before importing into the game 256x256 is usually quite good. Doing it this way, tends to give you a clearer small image.

Picks, classifieds, and profile images are all slightly different in size and aspect ratio (stupid). I don't remember the exact numbers (you can take a screen shot of the interface and crop the image to each frame to get the exact numbers), but what I do is use Photoshop to create a single high rez image (at least 1536x1024, or whatever works best), then add alpha channels matching each aspect ratio. This allows me to save selection boundaries and call them up when I need them. Say, for example, the profile picture has an aspect ratio of 4 to 3 and a maximum resolution of 287 pixels. This number is above 256, so a 512x512 image size should be used to preserve resolution. To take care of the distortion simply crop the image to the correct aspect ratio, then resize the image to 512x512 (you should be sizing down from high rez). It's now ready to upload. It will look distorted at 512x512, but will look normal when plugged into the profile frame. The same proceedure can be used for the larger Picks and Classifieds images.
