Hello all
I am new to making clothes for online environments. I've used Photoshop before at school but never for clothes making. I'm using RW's template for clothe making and beyond reading tutorials that skip over my head, I get confused.

I know making clothes is an advanced process ,but I know if I work at it I can figure it out, beginning is just the hard part.
I've seen several "intro" tutorials or forums, but is there any step by step processes for beginners (Or someone willing to AIM or message me to help when I get lost :) )I get lost in this "making an alpha" layer stuff so SL can make it clothing. Here I am, an advanced C++ coder and Photoshop is confusing me.

I have plans (who doesn't, I know) to make unique clothing for men that are not currently out there, so I know I'll have to venture out on my own, but for the first par I know baby steps is the best policy.

Back to CS3 I go.

Have a look at these, and the other stickies, they REALLY help getting begginers started.

Good luck :)

clothing isn't all that advanced the basics are fairly simple but to make it easier grab Chip Midnights templates there excellent (think theres a link further up) open one then add a transparent layer and draw away as long as you use a fine brush on the edges it will save just fine. Save as a 32 bit tga if you want any parts transparent. No need to make alphas its simple and works just as well for a starting point. You can always learn the alpha thing later but this will get you started
