Is there any way I can preview my work on the actual av without paying the money to upload the texture each time?

There is a way -- when the Second Life Preview Grid becomes open again nearing the next release, Lada, all money in your account there is truely "play money", and you can use that to test stuff to your hearts's content, and then when satisfied, upload it to the main grid for maximum effectiveness. So look out for that in the Announcements Forum

Check Lada's birthdate, Torley. Depending on what snapshot the Lindens use, she might not be able to access the preview grid at all. For example, PR1.5.14 was released on 01.27.2005, but used a snapshot from October 13, 2004. Thus, only users born before then could access the preview. It's very likely that Lada will experience a similar problem.

this forum thread might have something that will help Lada. it can use the default sl av and is a big help even better than the regular upload preview. when you say "the actual av" i'm guessing you mean your personal custom av since the regular preview gives you a default av to look at. can't do that unless you can get into the next preview like Torley said.

Well if you have poser you can preview there now. I haven't tried it yet but there is a download for poser in sl so you can preview things. HUGS Lady

Poser is a very slow way to preview stuff, and you don't get adjustability on the avatar without a lot of work. I posted a much more direct method in a previous thread. Maybe, since this thread is titled as such, it will get noticed

Yeah sorry i just read the title so not sure if someone said this already. But to preview just chose to upload your file and a preview window will pop up just chose cancel if you dont want to pay. This helped me a lot and a still spend 200 L on uploads yesterday Lol
