Hi guys,

I'm totally new to this forums and to second life building and all, also totally new to photoshop, altough I have big experience with computers and computer programs.
Anyways I was kinda wondering if there are tutorials that will teach you step by step to build a skin for an avatar...
I found some tutorials in how to create skin, cloth etc., but never 1 complete tutorial in how to skin a full face (including the eyes), or a full body even.

As I kinda want to make realistic human skins, both male and female, but also scifi and horror kinda skins.
So some full step to step guides would be great... in stead of all tutorials I find are based on 1 thing, like making a brick wall in photoshop (while it's easier to take out my digital camera and make some textures by picturing walls in stead lol).

Anyways, thanks for reading this post and I hope someone can help me out here ;)

(P.S. maybe a photoshop book based on game design (as most books are based on sharpening digital pictures) and a name with ISBN also could be real helpfull)

No, it doesn't have instructions for making skins but it is an excellent book and a good way to learn photoshop. I do recommend that you take some time to learn photoshop before tackling skinning.
