Hi Everyone
I have this itch to try my hand at designing clothing. I love to use PSP and well it is the easiest for me since I know it. My question is where do I get started? Where do I find the templates for clothes making? Is there a place that offers step by step instrustions for beginners? Any information would be greatly appericated. And I thank you in advance.

http://secondlife.com/community/templates.php is where you'll find the official templates. Chip Midnight and others have also offered high-resolution templates on the forums, so you can search for those. I'd recommend that you use the preview feature before actually paying for an upload of your texture. Things stretch or match in ways that you may not expect.

I highly recommend searching out Chip's templates. (I know Robin has some, too, but I can't speak for them because I've never used them.) They're not just high resolution; they've also got a more detailed grid, and all sorts of seam guides on them. It makes things vastly less frustrating.

Thanks Miriel, i have looked at Chips things and they do look very good. Does anyone have any places for step by step instructions? Or is there a place to learn in SL? i'm not into making money at this, i just want to make things for myself.

Did you get ahold of Chip's templates yet? They really are the best ones, espescially for beginners. Ive not found any tutorials around for starting.. its really just trial and error. Paint something on, see how it fits on the avie.

Cricket, I posted a PSP5 tutorial on how I do it here: /109/bc/90540/1.htmlIt's not very good but it focuses on the basic mechanics of making clothing using PSP, which I haven't seen elsewhere... might suffice till someone better does one ^_^
