How can I make my own wardrobe?

How do I get started designing in SL? I want to make my own clothes so I do not have to pay for them because the prices seem so high. How can I make myself a pair of pants and a top?

It is a series of links to tutorials on making clothes, Photoshop and GLIMP techniques, and a lot of other useful data.

Also, I hold a monthly class in-world on making clothes. The next class is this Monday, April 3 at 1:00 PM SLT. My class is not designed to teach you how to use a graphics program, but to show you how to use your program to make clothing.

This afternoon 3:00 PM central daylight time. I think that is still 1:00 PM game time but I am not sure. We have just gone on Daylight Savings Time, which moves our clocks up one hour. So, what was 2:00 PM last week is 1:00 PM this week. I don't know if SL moved up or not?

Anyway, I think Central US DST is 5 hours after English time.
