i have a symbol i want to put in sl transparent meaning i only want to see this symbol not its back ground ive herd of alpha channle the guid dosent help at all i need someone to tell me how to do this and Put it in laymen's terms i think it is called.if u have photoshop and your explaining it that would really help i was woundering if you could give me simple instructions any one..EVEN IF U DONT HAVE PHOTOTSHOP IT WOULD BE HELPFULL TO TEACH ME N E WAY

i use photot shop and i want to put a symbol in sl transparent i red the guid it dident help please someone help me out any way you can i was told to delete the back of the symbol did that it turnd pink and i was told to open new transparent page and throw symbol on n clear did that dident work maybe someone can tell me one of thos same ones or differnt one i know theres someone out there that can help me please give me every idea you can

Manditory? Meaning the people of SL MUST help? I really hope that is not what you meant, because telling people that they must help you with no incentive to themselves more often gets a response of "bite me" than it does actual help.

As for the answer to your question, I had a little trouble understanding what you need exactly but I think that if you search for "alpha channel", "transparency", etc., you will find some pretty good tutorials on the matter.

Also, posting the same question more than once using alts doesn't really help get a response, ya know

I have a Symbol of mine for a T-Shirt, that I used "extract" in Photoshop.

Then go close in and clean up the edges with the eraser tool.

Set backround to transparent or something like that also...

cmd-a
cmd-c
channels tab
new channel
(.) masked areas
cmd-v
make transparent parts black
make the rest white
cmd-shift-S
format: targa
32 bits

repeat until proficient.

Look up ALPHA CHANNELS in your Photoshop manual or the online help in Photoshop. It tells you how to do it in there.
