Anyone have a nice deck of good looking playing cards? I have set made by Chance Smalls, but it sucks. If anyone has em, give em full perms, put em in a folder, and ship me the folder.
Thanks!

Do you realize what you are asking? Fifty-two cards at $L10 per upload is $L520. Then you want this person (if there is someone who has done this) to freely give you a copy of all fifty-two textures so you can use them in whatever way you wish.

I really don't mean to insult you, I jut feel like you are asking a lot from this group.

Make them yourself,

1)
The raw images are easy enough to find on Google Images.

2)
Combine 4 images into 1 (for example all the aces) using your prefered image manipulation program, Paintshop, Photoshop, GIMP etc. This reduces the upload cost from 520L$ to 130L$. Tip Always put a given suit in the same place in the composite images. That way the UV values for all of a suit will be the same.

3) Apply texture to flat prim and adjust UV values accordingly

4) Copy object, rename, change UV values to display a different suit.

what you can do also, is just make them all on one or two textures, then dividing them on a card (52 cards / prims)

I am not sure but i thin SL allows you to move the texture and stretch or smaller it. it's worth a try. or else you just lost 520 lindens ^^, or according Rabbitsfoot 130

Bassically my method is the same as Rabbitsfoot, only then a little different, but the idea is the same ^^

You CAN put them all in one image, 13x4, then use offset and scale to get the card back you want. I have done so.

As others have said, there's absolutely no need to upload 52 seperate textures. Simply put all the cards on one sheet, and then use offsets to show just one card on each of 52 prims.

Here is a thread from last March that you may want to check out, Craze. In the sixth post, I published the UUID for a free texture you can use, and a quick tutorial on how to do the offsets.

Now that you have your answer, I must point out to you that your original post here is in violation not only of the Community Standards to which you agreed when you joined SL, but also of common sense and common decency. There's NEVER any reason to publicly announce, "I've got a product made by _________, and it sucks." Imagine if you were that person.

I'd reccommend editing your post to remove the person's name. If you don't, this thread will likely be closed by the moderators. As I said, it's a violation of the rules (which you really should read) to name names in a negative manner.

I put his name because I didn't want someone sending me the same set ;)

Hi Craze, I'm sorry, but your reasoning doesn't change the fact that it violates the TOS as I understand it.

You might want to edit it to simply say, "I have the set made by Chance Smalls, but I'm looking for a different one."

That way you can avoid being sent the same set again, and remain within the TOS.
