Do you make jewelry? If so whats the best program to use, Do you make it on an undershirt or a prim?

Any other information you would be willing to share?

prims..... that's it.

no program needed.

unless you meant making textures, used Corel's Photopaint 10.

98% of the people use prims they build, with textures they bought inworld.

There are also people like Nylon who literally DRAW the jewelry in Photoshop and then put it on a jacket layer. No prims. It's awesome especially for cartoony look. Altho you could totally achieve that for a photorealistic style too, it's about what you like, and I just don't dig it, looks cheap to my eyes.

Personally, I do both. Prims and hand drawn.

I use Photoshop CS2 to draw details, then I apply them to transparent prims to give the 2D meets 3D effect.
Then 80% of the rest is prims. However I make my own textures (silver, etc) in PS too to apply to prims. I think this makes your items really more unique then bought ones.

So overall I would say you don't need outside program skills to make jewelry, well PRIM jewelry. It's just for higher quality I would suggest making your own textures.

And well my biggest advice is to learn all the precious "tiny prims" tricks. They'll get you far. You can search the forum for the terms "tiny prims", the tutorial is out there.

Here's the tutorial about how to make tiny prims. Unfortunately the original pictures are gone but if you follow the instructions carefully you'll still get teensy prims. :)
