I've been haunted recently by the desire to give making skins another crack....I've been searching for a skin painting tutorial, or at least, a skin in a PDF so i can see how the shadows on the skin work with the template....Has anyone found what i am looking for?

You won't find a single comprehensive tutorial on skinning. You will find a mixture of tutorials useful for skinning dispersed throughout and clustered on the orange stickies at the top of this forum heading. They offer help with such things as shading/highlighting, where to find examples applied to the templates, clothing tutorials (which is essentially the same process as skinning minus a few seams and the head), texturing advice, advice on shooting your own photo reference, etc.. The list goes on from there.

Maybe one of these days I'll get around to cherry picking all the great stuff that can be found here for skin specific work and put it in one concise thread for everyone to access. If anyone feels this is a pressing need and is up to the challenge, go for it. I just don't have the time at the moment.
