Mistic, Could you provide a little more detail to your problem? It is hard to understand what is wrong.

I offer an in-world school on basic clothes making. I am hoping to have it again some time this month. Look at this forum and the events calendar for the time and date.

When you paint the shirts in photo shop. How they got the lines in the shirts on the tepmlets. click on the shirt. to paint. there is alph one, one that has lines. layers. Which layer should i go with. I main;y know the basic. i just need to know how to get the lines in the shirts not to show. I use blur, lidiuarly. It still shows! I guess i'll just use the texture stuff.

when you upload the shirt, go to apperance. to wear and fix the shirt. lines shows! If u just paint it! on photo shop.

Hi Mistic! Don't paint on any layers with grid lines. Make your own layer and paint on that. Then make the layers with grid invisible before saving to targa and uploading to sl. The grid layers are just there to help you figure out the geometry and seams of the uv map.

As for alpha channel, make sure you are on the layer you painted on and that it's visible. Then go to Selection menu -> Load Selection... -> Layer 1 transparency (where 'Layer 1' is the name of your layer). Then save that selection into an alpha channel by once more going to Selection menu -> Save Selection... Just click OK in the requester presented to you. Voila - shirt texture ready for uploading to sl :) Now all you have to do is to save as 32 bit targa.

Also see these clothing tutorial links and this sticky about alpha channels.

Good luck!

Hi Mistic!

Just in case; you make the layers invisible, or hide them, by clicking the icon of the eye in the column on the left next to the layer in the Layer Palette. ;)
