If someone more experienced than I repsonds, just ignore me...
If you look carefully at real life creases, you might see that they are, at least in part, streaks of shadow and brightness depending on where the light is coming from. In SL, you have to draw them, using whatever artistic skills you have. Put two transparent layers above your garment. In one, use dodge/burn to add some streaks of darkness (the shadows). Then on the next layer, use dodge/burn to add some streaks of lightness (the highlight). (I can never remember which is dodge and which is burn.) To be more advanced, notice that a crease also disrupts whatever pattern is noticable in your garment. This means that in SL you have to select parts of your garment, and slightly move it so that the pattern disruption looks right, again using that artistic skill (of which I am sorely lacking. _____________________

Thanks for the information, works really well. Just need to get the practice in!!
Another quick question... How would you suggest making Tshirt collar i.e. so it appears thicker and a slight line around the top as in a normal tshirt? And the same for the tshirt short sleeves? |

Use the pen tool to create the curved line around the collar, and then you can use dodge/burn to create the ribbing or just a darker line if you were after a plain collar without ribbing.
You could also try some of the layer effects on the collar to see if that gives you the appearance that you are after. Have you had a look at Robins T-shirt Template? Studying that might give you an idea of what you can do to create the effects you need for the collar and sleeves so that they dont look very flat. I can't remember if they are on a separate layer or not, but just having a look at it might help you, even if they are not on separate layers. And yes, get the practice. It might take a while to get the creases and wrinkles the way you want them (wrinkly, rather than just seeing the dark line and the light line ) but it can just click in your head and on your screen after some practice and then you'll wonder why it was so strange to try figure it out ![]() _____________________

Yes
Dunno about patter distortion though, I've never tried it. If you're dodging/burning above the pattern, it creates an illusion that the pattern is crinkled anyway... ![]() _____________________

If I need to do pattern distortion, I find that "Liquify" is the handiest tool.
