OMG i would LOVE one too! i use paint shop pro as well.
I have seen some helpful things tho - about Photoshop but can be used for paint shop too. There's a thread near this one about using the burn and dodge tools to hand draw them in which is what i am trying at the moment. I think using gassian blur over the wrinkle u have drawn helps as well - but do it on another layer so u dont affect the main clothing texture. I am in the same position as u - i hope that helps a little x |

My apologies...I previously posted the incorrect link to the wrinkle brushes. They were created by Ceres, not Karmalene.
/109/60/168947/1.html I do not know if they work with PSP, but if you look at the samples, you should be able to get a decent idea visually how wrinkles should be drawn. If I have time tonight or tomorrow, I will try to post some pictures of the steps if some one hasn't come to your rescue by then ![]() ~Ari _____________________

Well Trinity...I really hope we can figure this out!
![]() Perhaps during the down time tomorrow I'll see what I can do to make a visual tutorial you can follow. ~Ari aka Air ![]() _____________________

Here are examples of two types of wrinkles, but the same steps apply.
Again, total credit goes to Starley Therian whose fab tutorial last year showed me how to create them (and of course Mr. Midnight's templates). 1. New Layer, Color Burn: soft brush with 50% Gray 2. Smudge tool, pull corners out to soften 3. Blur (for the example I used the Gaussian blur option) 4. New Layer, Overlay, soft brush with white or very light gray...follow same steps as 2 & 3 5. Wrinkles These were made rather quickly, but when you study actual clothing you'll see how the wrinkles appear on actual clothing. Real fabric is your best guide..but hopefully this is a start ![]() ~Ari _____________________

Hi! If you really want to understand wrinkles, not just how they are drawn, but where to draw them, you can't do better than an oldish book by Burne Hogarth that's still in print. It's called Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery: Solutions for Drawing the Clothed Figure.
You can find it on Amazon.com here. Hope this helps! _____________________

Both this and Robin's tutorial are really great! One thing I think is important to mention (mainly because it is the one thing that kept me from figuring this out!!) is the fact that neither of these tutorials work with certain colors as your background. Pure RGB red, blue, green, or yellow don't seem to work. I was using pure green as a test, and the paint strokes just wouldn't show up! I was practically pulling my hair out till I tried a different color.
Many, many thanks to Arikinui and Robin! _____________________

You're so very welcome ![]() It was because of the generous people in this forum that I was able to understand how to make clothing, and I really hope I can continue this trend by offering what little I know. The texture is simply an overlay > 50% gray fill and I added a bit of patchwork texture to it (an option in PS, but not sure if you have anything like that in PSP). It's no big deal..just helps keep it from looking flat. Stop by and see me any time after Friday. We'll have tea on the terrace ![]() Laurie, good point. I have found that if I vary the gray % and work with the different blending options (multiply vs. color burn, and color dodge vs overlay vs. screen) I can work around these color issues. Or I just don't use any of those misbehaving colors LOL (or black and white for that matter). That is a great book Robin. I can't believe it's already 12 years old. ~Ari _____________________
