I am curious what would be a good way to create jewelry in SL.
I have considered making them as a clothing item, but I also heard that one can simply create objects, and link them together.

Can anyone tell me which way is not too difficult to learn and efficient?
I am especially interested in creating a pendant necklace.

Thanks on beforehand

If you think you would be good at photoshop, make them out of clothing items.
If you think you would be good at 3D-design, build them out of prims.
Whatever you do, don't put the bling script in them ;)

 But bling looks so cool, Eggy. I wanted to make jewelry too. Why are you saying don't put in the bling script?

you can check out this tutorial for jewelry making tips.

you shouldnt put the bling script in jewelry cause that kind of flashing can be bad for people with certain kinds of epilepsy or good taste.

It looks ok if one is wearing ONE item that "blings" (I hate that word) once in a while. When one has more than that it is ANNOYING (I love that word :D).

You mean you aren't supposed to wear "hoochie" hair that blings?

Seriously, the link that Zuzi put up is a great tutorial.

Thank you for the information.
I will try to make them using the 3D Design in SL itself, since I am truly a nitwit when PSP is concerned.
Hope I find out what this dimpling is. I have not yet done that before.

in a sphere -- you may have tried "cut" which starts with a crack in the sphere and can be enlarged until you only have a sliver.

Dimple is like chopping off an end of the sphere. Ahh --- easier to see than explain. Did you look at the pics in Zuzi's tutorial? Send me an IM if I'm online at the same time if you need help.
