Hello, I need some info on where are some good places to get textures that can be transferred. I am making a gift for someone and need to be able to transfer the item. All I keep finding is no transfer textures. Thanks for any help!

Try Textures Unlimited by Drift Monde I second this suggestion! Hundreds and Hundreds of textures and all very nice. Full perms so you can use them how you like (except for sell them in other texture collections). ![]() _____________________

you can buy almost all of drift's collection for about 20k L$.
after my purchase, drift was kind enough to provide me offline copies of the textures which i had intended to use for other mediums. but as it turned out, it provided an amazing way to find textures for use in SL since the inventory doesn't allow thumbnails, but windows does ![]() now i've started to dowload the rest of my texture library in sl to my hard drive to take advantage of this. _____________________

I also have a box stuffed with free textures in my store in Gallinas. They're free to use, but not to be resold as textures.

As much as I like Drift's textures they are, in fact, no copy, no modify, no transfer. So no perms at all.

David I understand why these perms are added, but they make them useless for using on saleable items, even if they are only a small part of the whole.

But Drfit doesn't sell no copy textures, and from what I've seen, she doesn't sell no transfer ones either, so you may have gotten a buggy copy. No transfer textures drive me crazy unless they are strictly textures that you would build landscaping or structures with. I hate building something, texturing it, then trying to give it to someone and not be able to... _____________________

David I understand why these perms are added, but they make them useless for using on saleable items, even if they are only a small part of the whole. Which is exactly why they are sold with full permissions enabled. I have used some of Drift's textures on clothing I sell. I know for a fact that her textures are *supposed* to be modable/copyable/transferable. If you have some from her that are not like that, you probably got a bugged copy (or something very rare). ![]() _____________________

As much as I like Drift's textures they are, in fact, no copy, no modify, no transfer. So no perms at all. Alexa All the textures come with full permissions. With the update of 1.6 they show with no permissions when currently looking at them meaning you do not have permissions until they are purchased. Please read the sign posted at the door. This was a complaint by many as it appears they dont have full permissions. right click on any one of the individual textures and check the properties to see the permissions after purchase. Starting in June I have considered making textures no modify. This is due to the permissions problems that still exist in SL.. This just means they cant be renamed or downloaded but can still be modified on a prim. I am still not sure this is what I want to do but the permission issues are forcing me to make some adjustments. Please IM me if you have any questions.. Drift _____________________

I don't have any No Copy or No Transfer textures in my inventory. I've ruined entire builds one too many times by applying one and then being unable to undo the screwy perms, even after removing the texture.
Everything I've bought from Drift has always been Full Permission. Alexa, if you got some that weren't, I recommend contacting Drift and seeing if she'll swap them for you. She's always been very good to her customers. When you deal with that volume of textures, some are bound to slip through with the wrong permissions. _____________________

Hi Pendari
Just been to Drift's shop. Checked several packs of textures in Edit, Content and all that I checked, without exception, showed no copy, no mod, no transfer against each texture so I'm confused. Am I missing something? I am still newbish, so happy to learn. Alexa |

Right click on a single texture/edit/properties and you should see the permissions for next owner being you. _____________________

I love Drift's textures. HUGE selection and she's very helpful.
One thing I would love to see though, is a bigger selection of old beat-up worn-out wood and wood planks. _____________________

I am still newbish, so happy to learn. Alexa I assure you Drift's textures come with full permissions. Due to changes Linden Lab made in 1.6 you can no longer look at the contents of an object and see the permsions at a glance. to check permissions you have to right click each texture in the contents indivigually and select properties. This will show you the actual permission settings. If you check in this manner you will see Drift's textures come with full permissions. Sorry for the inconvenience. This issue has effected us greatly. We have signs up at all locations that describe the problem. _____________________

With the update of 1.6 they show with no permissions when currently looking at them meaning you do not have permissions until they are purchased. WOW! I did not know this had happened with 1.6! Or I knew but didn't understand the impact. I have always relied on being able to just hold my cursor over something and know if it was modable/copyable etc. I suppose this change has affected more than just your texture displays. Thanks for explaining this Drift! I'll be sure to pass the word along to any others that may be confused! _____________________
