Dear Fprum freinds,

I am new to SL, and would like to develop animations for AV's. I was told by Lizzi Linden that there are tools (some for free) that can help me to build AV animation.

I would like to thank you all for you help

Hi Jerry. Welcome to SL. :)

You may have missed it, but there is a dedicated Animation Forum which would be much better suited to your question. This forum is meant for discussion of texturing.

Anyway, to answer your question, there are several third party programs you can use for making animations. There's a pretty good listing of them stickied at the top of the animation forum in the thread entitled Animation Editors (free & commercial)

To learn how to use whichever program you decide to go with, you'll obviously need to read the manual and/or help files that come with it. For creating SL-specific animations, there are a few additional things to know, just about all of which can be found in the other sticky at the top of the animation forum, FAQ for Animators.

Beyond that, just like any other art form, it comes down to practice, practice, practice. Creating good-looking, realistic animation takes time and effort.
