Ok you used some terms incorrectly in your first post then. Personal Shoppers shop for people. Buyers are generally people who buy for large dept stores unless you are talking about consumers but they are usually called consumers.

So if you replaced shopper or buyer I'm not sure what means what above with personal shopper, then I think the whole thing will make a lot more sense. There are some services like this already in SL, so they may be able to give you some insight on what customers are looking for.
Sigh... I thought it was pretty obvious what Hiro was talking about from the context of the words, but still.

I'm not up on the lingo used in the retail industry so I'll do this with descriptions rather than names. When Hiro said "buyer" I'd say he meant "person who wants to get hold of a specific product" (would that be "consumer" in retail-speak?), when he said "shopper" I'd say he meant "person that goes out and looks for the requested product" (I guess that's like a "personal shopper", but I don't know whether that implies that they purchase the product as well or not).

No, it does not. Other code bounties have been posted in General, and I'm not advertising my services. Instead, I'm posting a contest of general interest to the community for a tool that is also for the general interest to the community.

Ooh, I know the answer to this one! It's:

Special Attractions
Announce parties, contests, games, charitable auctions and fun things to do

The idea is very good. Hiro's offer is quite generous. The job itself does not look like such a big thing (although I'm not a coder myself). He probably botched the initial post a little bit. He should have probably used the term "personal shopper" instead of "shopper." I was already halfway through the post before I realized that this is about a personal shopping service. So a little more clarity was probably needed. Nevertheless, the idea is good. I'd like to see it become realized. And I'd definitely use it.

Oh, come on, people. Don't hijack Hiro's thread. That's really not a cool thing to do to another person.

I really LOVE irony! :D

The main reason to use a shopping site was to avoid flying around and lag. Now with P2P you can go exactly where you want, I will never use a shopping website again. I imagine a lot of other people will use them less since shopping is more fun now.

Au contraire, a thread may be merged with any other thread as of vBull 3.0.

I let it slide the first 200 times I saw it, but I'm a human being, Wu. We have limits, you know. :(

Damn. I'd totally dock you points for using "pwnt" without it being funny, but then we'll just get into a point docking war.

So now the winner of the bounty will have enough to supersize that extra value meal he was going to buy with the original bounty?

We are a generous bunch, indeed! Hope they don't forget the ketchup!
