Poll coming soon

P.S. I suck at polls, should have not been multiple choice but maybe it's better that way so we can all get our pie-on too...

The Lindens do a good job of letting the community be free from too much control and regulation on their part. While this is part of what makes SL such a great place, it also means that land swoopers, freebie resellers, and other immoral, unethical capitalist pigs (no offense to moral, ethical capitalist pigs) are only punished so much as the community will punish them.

Given the amount of outrage that rises up anytime some new resident is victimized, it's ridiculous that these people go on unchecked. LL's current method of resolving regulatory issues is supplying residents with more of their own power, giving them the new estate tools, new access and ban restrictions, account status, etc. And so..

If the community wants a way to perform the sort of regulation on the scumbags of the business world that LL refuses to do itself, it's time for LL to provide such a tool.

PS: Voted for pie, but technically for 2. Linden involvement is at the right level, but community power is what needs to be heightened. Still angry at lack of pie.

What freedom of speech?

This is a privately owned forum, it doesn't apply here.

meh, if you guys can complain about the lindens and the product you are getting freedom of speech.. meh

people generally don't realize that freedom of speech does not mean a disregard for others, it means a responsiblity, with any freedom there is a responsiblity.

Please understand that to me at least this has nothing to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with me trying to wrap my brain around the degree to which people post things like this , VS the degree to which people seem upset by LL's non-involvement in scams and unethical behavior.

But yes, you are absolutely right that I should not yell "fire" in a crowed movie theatre. I just think that if someone is actually burning down the theatre, then the manager should maybe call the fire department or do something about it.
