Scammed by [edited]: What recourse do I have?

I purchased Lindens from [edited], the largest and wealthiest land baron in the game, whose motto is GET. THINGS. DONE. eleven (11) days ago and have not received them. I have written inquiry after inquiry, have spoken to two employees who have given me one excuse after another, from internal problems they don't understand, to their boss is not on line, to if you don't receive the Lindens in 24 hours please recontact us... and on and on and on to absolutely no avail.

They ask me questions in game via IMs such as "How many Lindens did I purchase?" Which I find highly unprofessional as they should have this transaction on record, as I certainly do. I don't understand what is going on, who to contact, how to get the Lindens I paid for and how to prevent this from happening again to me and to other people.

I've spoken to the Lindens via Live Help and they did their best considering they don't deal with 3rd parties who sell Lindens, still with no success.

It seems to me [edited] DOES NOT GET THINGS DONE.

Has anyone else had this problem with [edited] and associates? If so, what happened and how did you deal with it and did you ever get what you paid for?

Any information will help since I have none at this time. Thank you all very much.

I have a legitimate situation here and your being cute certainly isn't helpful to me or to others who may have had a similar unprofessional encounter with ANSCHE CHUNG. I am asking for information and help, not counter-productive insults from someone who does not care to help.

I am using my alternate because I do not want my main ingame name involved. My main was born May 13. Jaxi is very new.

So, what recourse do I have for this situation? Thank you.

The only solution: continue to nag them.
Or... stalk them. Worked for me when I needed to solve a dispute with someone over money matters.

Well, I'm not much of a stalker and wouldn't know how to go about that anyway... I'd much rather do this honestly, without bloodshed. So that just leaves me with putting my bank on their butts. Still, that leaves the sorry situation open for others to encounter.

Maybe you're looking up the wrong person in game due to misspelling - it's "Anshe Chung"

Have you tried IMing the owner of AnsheChung.com? While she is very busy, I have always found her helpful.

If all else fails, you simply charge it back. Did you pay via Paypal?

How did you pay for the Lindens? If by PayPal, you can undo the deal; if by credit card, probably the same.

But before you do that, make sure that your payment went through. Anche et al may just be waiting to have the cash in hand before making delivery. You should ask about that. You can't blame folks for waiting for the cash to come through, since it is hard to collect for virtual goods after delivery.

Since you were dealing with a 3rd party site, the answer is none, via LL. So the recourse you would have would be the same for any other transaction dispute, ie, normal legal avenues.

...or the ava was used by someone else as it was told happens - at the wikipedia info homepage - before most of the history about the person named.. was taken away..

Well due to the amount of money Anshe pays Linden Labs, she's pretty much above the law and TOS, so any Linden involvement isn't going to happen.

But Anshe is a business girl first and foremost which means she wants repeat business. So I have to figure if something happens in transit of money through her system, and they give you said excuses, then they're probably telling the truth. She only really steals things from other people when it's outside of her business system and there's a loophole for which to do it.

So I would have to say, best you can do is stick it out, keep sending IMs to various peoples, and if you can to retract the money order and use a more reliable service like LindeX.

This isn't really true. Anshe's main account was suspended about five or six months ago over a ToS violation. (She posted a thread about it even.)
