You can double click on it and their profile pops up yay! I do believe that you still have to do a face to face in order to get them onto your Friends List, (right click on their avatar and choose that option from the pie menu) but I could be wrong.

I suspect the reason they don't do this is because of the fact that any random person can punch your name in as a referrer or use your referral URL, whether you actually referred them or not.
If they did, literally anybody could wind up on your friends list, including griefers.
What it should do instead is ASK if you want a new referral to be your friend, as soon as that person winds up in world, without requiring that you see them in person (since they are likely to be on orientation island).
That, or we should be able to queue friendship requests for people who are offline. I believe there's a voting proposal on that.
I have people that I referred that are STILL not on my list months later because they keep a different schedule from me, and I got tired of checking their name manually to see if they just happened to randomly be available.
As for the calling cards, I have yet to figure out what useful purpose those things serve. Links to profiles aren't very helpful unless you can make them yourself.

The person that creates new account do gets me as on calling card but i dont ge their calling card so i have no idea if they created account. Another thing is that they know who you refer for the pay if they become premium so i am sure they can use the check to add as friend.
Oh well, it got closed the petition.
thanks everyone
