It means the system isn't ready for you to download and actually install yet. They are probably putting in the new client download now and it will be actually ready shortly.

There is still (as of this posting) 1 hour 40 minutes 'til the time Lindens said the server would be back online. Trying to download and get in sooner may have adverse effects in the short term but.. HANG IN THERE... it will be fine and you will get the correct file to download and it will install properly and you will be able to log in (eventually) when the server comes back online.

All is well, the sky is not falling... I don't think...
