I am the subject of Cris's tyrade.

I stand accused of commiting unthinkable acts against a plethora of individuals. My friends, my wouldbe co-workers and my pretty much my entire SL family. The allegation has been made that I have authored and distributed an essay that diminishes and slanders ONLY those I maintain close relationships with.

This was conceived and executed by specific individuals who wished to hurt me. There is no other explanation for anyone authoring a document that would virtually slaughter ONLY those I am close with. That would be stupid, self destructive and ultimately pointless. As a result of these fabricated "Facts" discovered by the perpetrators of this crime, and yes, it is a crime, I have been threatened with teh spreading of my personal information, my extremely private details. My "friends" have taken Cristiano's word as golden, and their method of recourse was to launch severe attacks about my person, bringing it here to the forums, invade my privacy and present falsified information as fact.

Cristiano, I will not stoop to your level. I will not play this game on the forums. Anyone who knows me realizes this is unfounded and NOT within my character or interests. The evidence you proported to be fact was seriously flawed, and yet you continue to use it to try to destroy me. I am a person, not a machine. You may not have to face me in real life to look me in the eye and say the hellacious things you've said to me, you may want to continue courting these series of damaging lies with Moo at your side. I can assure it will be dealt with, you and your cohorts will be held accountable for you crimes against me and your devious scheme.

I will not engage in this discussion with you any longer. We will do so through proper law abiding channels in the company of officials willing to be unbiased. Not on a forum where you know people will look past any defense of my own in an effort to win your favor.

If you wish to know the absolute truth and the actions I'm taking, go on. See the real facts, Cristiano, the truth, not your richly devised scheme or the mega conclusions you have influenced people to surmise. Not the sloppy bit of "investigating" that brought you to implicate me in an essay that only stood to harm me by destroying my relationship. You love the drama of these forums, but this goes beyond malicious. What you and your cohort have done is nothing less than wretched. And now, anyone who posts in my defense you claim are my alts. Look at you, Cris, you're become obvious.

How blatantly ignorant can you be to think I would write a document that attacks only my friends? Not even considering the last one, as I can honestly say I don't even know most of the individuals involved to enough of a degree to write such horrific things about them.

This is your second attempt to hurt my integrity, disrupt my Second Life efforts, and diminish me as a person. I would simply like to know why?

I will not quit Second Life because of you and your criminal efforts against me. I will not be a coward like the individual who wrote up a sharp tongued essay and then passed accountability off to an innocent person. I am not going anywhere. I may have to use the mute button a lot more often, but you will not send me running. You can continue threatening me with distributing my real life identity. Do what you will. I cannot stop you, nor can I reason with you.

I've said enough here. Anyone with a genuine concern, anyone who loves the theatrics of scandal, of personal attacks and well structired schemes, go read my blog. Thats all I have to say about it.

The evidence presented from several respected people has spoken. You dug your hole, Phaylen. And your blog trying to explain how your IP address somehow appeared in the uneditable mail headers of a Yahoo! email is laughable and filled with so much pseudo-techno-babble it's borderline comedy.

I haven't read any PDF, but... Phaylen was always pretty nice to me. *shrug*

I strongly suspect this thread will be closed soon, but I have to add that I knew nothing of this until I saw the OP in this thread. Now I will have to backtrack and figure out what is going on. That is the problem with answering drama with posts like this -- it only breeds more drama. If you want it to blow over, let it die, no matter how upset you are or how important you feel it is to clarify your position or whatever.

Well, the .pdf's were an interesting read in a hate-filled bile sorta way. I can only conclude that it is one of two motives behind such documents:

A. Just an attempt to create SL Drama for the sake of entertainment. Yes, being hurtful and mean is actually entertainment for some. Particularly if they can remain anonymous.

B. The rambling of a paranoid, schizoid personality that is way too obsessive about Second Life, the FIC and the inconsequential powers that swim in such a stream. If this is the case, and it's a scary thought, they are also almost sociopathically a bad judge of character. The writer seems to project personalities and motives onto names just to justify their own lacking self-worth, or feelings of anger and resentment. Has the writer actually ever gotten to know some of the folks written about? I mean beyond first impressions?

I hope that the motive was A. , because the alternative means another person out in the world, twisted, in pain, and in need of help. It's sad.

Actually, that's not true.

There is plenty of legal precedent to indicate that slander doesn't even need to name someone specifically, but rather that they are implied implicitly.

For instance, if I say, "That jerk who lives at 21 Baker Street is ... etc ... " it's still slander, because it makes it fairly obvious who is being referred to.

Also, Lecktor, being slandered is not a feeling, it's a condition resulting in negative verbal abuse. Technically, it's all libel, since it's written, but that's splitting hairs.

That said, from what my friends who were named in the PDFs have said, it's less the words themselves that is troubling (as Cristiano said, he laughed it off) but the fact that it was done anonymously, and allegedly a person who had acted as a friend.

In English, it was troubing because the people felt it was an anonymous backstab.
