Anyone else haveing probs with Prefs?

Every time I log off, it seems SL is not logging off right. I used to have my screen freeze and the bar slowly climb showing the log off progress. Now I get a black screen and the status bar freezes at about the 5% mark. My chat colors keep getting reset to default black. A very minor thing, but annoying. I submitted a Bug Report, but wanted to ask if anyone has had this problem, or knows how to fix it.

I noticed last night that my default colour palette has been reset to a mixture of half default and half black.

I'm getting the all black text bug, too.

This is defanitly a problem I've been seeing. I hate to have to keep changing the text colors back everytime I log in. UGH What a pain in the arse.

I got the chat colour problem too, and heard of lots of people having it too.
I heard that snapshot rpeferences don't save properly either, maybe it's related?

There's a related thread over in the technical issues forum, where I bugreported the same problem as Lewis, and there's also people complaining about chat color / menu color gone all black in that thread. If you haven't done so already, please take a few minutes to bugreport the problems you're seeing, and maybe also post in technical issues with your bug report # (as the Lindens are more likely to monitor that forum for technical issues, rather than General).

Last time I was in-world, I went through my preferences and had to change a bunch of settings that the update decided for me to change to settings I have never, ever, used. I got them all back where they belonged, and was setting up a build, and noticed my 'effects' color was black. I had set it to purple just minutes earlier. Went into preferences, and that option was set to black, all right. Reset it to purple, and so far it's stayed where it belongs. Annoying though.

I noticed this today. I must say that it upset me greatly as I had saved on that pallette all the colours I need for my products and most are now black. This is gonna be a monsterous headache to sort out for me now, as colour matching is highly important. Hopefully the eyedropper will work and maybe help me, but I haven't tested to see how accurate it is.

I am having this SAME problem. Accept my effects color no matter how many times I change it defaults to black... Which is odd, because the actual default color should be white. I have not been able to get mine to stay set on a color other than black... It's REALLY annoying considering the area I hang out a lot has dark colors and its hard to see my effects and what I have selected and such... Any fixes for this?

I havent got any kind of log out screen or statis bar in ages, just a black screen and no way to tell if its still logging out or frozen...

As for the colours mines still set on black... I tried changing preferences but it hasnt worked. Then again that may be because since this updates been installed I dont think I've logged out once normally, just crashed lots from the new bugs

Did more testing this morning, and submitted a formal bug report. As soon as you log off and log back on again, the 'Color for my effects' preference reverts to black, no matter what you do. If you change it manually, it may stay changed for that session, but the next time you log in, it's back to black.
