From: Rowan Carroll Anyone else take a screenshot of the tons of people at the ole Guv'ner's house? Woot! I was bald and everyone else was "unrezzed" but I saw my first Linden. Nicole Linden was there.. somewhere on the bottom of the dog pile.. well.. I saw her title anyways... that was a blast.. Haha... That was fun.. I got 3 screen shots.. *even one of Nicole!* Even though everything is grey..

You know, I work with databases all the time at work. Even with hardware failure they should theoretically be able to extract all their data from the transaction log, even if the database engine was throwing sparks at the time...

For a few minutes one of the sims was online and people logging in were routed to it. Several of us took pictures, boy will they be a hoot! You can buy a copy of mine to sell in the store

From: Io Zeno Which could be worse, actually. I hope people don't have inventory vanish after this. I just bought a little thing before things.. went.. terribly wrong. But was trying to teleport to make a more expensive purchase and could not, thank goodness. Grid attacks are usually followed by everyone stampeeding to the forums to report that they saw a bunch of spheres rampaging across the grid. When important servers shoot craps, wierd crap happens like everyone winding up in the governers mansion. My guess is some servers fell over and went aflame.

I need a bed pan right now
07-11-2006 00:14
Please pass that bedpan over, I feel the urge. LOL LOL Man this sucks that we have to talk to one another on Threads. Nice meeting u all. Hope you are as unhappy and frustrated as I am sitting waiting for the grid to come up. But remember guys, this is SL we are talking about .. It will take another 2 hours for the sims to stablelize. Then Textures will rezz slowwwwwly, and My clothing won't be on, and it will be such an awesome day in the lives of SL peeps everywhere
Man I need to go to bed LOL LOL but u guys are more fun to be with

From: Jordguitar Flasheart *beats you with the stupid stick* I'm sorry, but object "Stupid Stick" could not be retrieved from your inventory due to the following problem: You do not have access to the specified object.

From: Kerian Bunin This doesn't at all have the flavor of a grid attack. This seems like a database hardware failure.
Paranoid up in here. Oh, but it does. Atrociously slow website + Login server down + Grid crash = Something's up. If I recall correctly, the login server and website are independent.

The reason the website is slow is because the entire userbase that was logged in just went WTF and are all here now. This seems more like the times there has been a hardware failure.
