When I saw the subject "Linden Lab has lost power... " I at first though they (Linden Lab) had lost control of SL and it was taken over by the land barons, FIC, or something; the $L was being replace by some Land Baron currency; etc...

Ummm you do realize that there are other reasons for those things to happen other than not paying their bills. Things that may be beyond their control!

Ummm you do realize that there are other reasons for those things to happen other than not paying their bills. Things that may be beyond their control! As a resident of Lindentown (aka San Francisco) I can attest to the fact that we're having "frisky" weather today -- extremely high winds and cold rain -- wouldn't be surprised if a tree branch has knocked over some wires or a PG&E substation is dealing with issues. Mother Nature is having a good ol' time today. |

as vivi said, the weather today has been really crazy. The winds were so high that waves were coming over the walkways on the Embarcadero this morning. I'll bet anything that the wind/rain are the culprits, of course, there is also the sliding cliff above the offices (well, really its about 1/2 block down the street) - but, that probably isnt the cause.
