From: Hugsy Penguin Is that reasonable? Is there a return on investment here?
HP If you're serious about putting money into a venture, you'll need to do some legwork. Asking a question here is not likely to get you the best answer.

$75 US an hour? Some of the best RL jobs don't pay that well. I'd probably pay about $5000L...but I don't think it should have copy rights. Resale/transfer fine, but not copy.

Resale/transfer fine, but not copy. People doing this for a living pay their own way. If you're independent and not covered by an employer, one rule of thumb iirc was to take the pay you made at a company and multiply that by 5. This helps to account for ALLLL the things most people never consider... including insurance, equipment, tools, training, down time when there are no clients, etc etc. In my profession, it's unusual for a designer to ask less than $100/hr. Divide by 5 and you get $20 which is what would be comparable corporate salary.

BBB for SL ?
04-09-2006 15:14
(I understand, but the creator was very unwilling to help me at all.)
This happens a lot and i for one think that SL needs a reputable BBB. I think it would give the vendors a good name as well as the SL community some insight as to there customer service. And yes there would need to be some guidelines very easy to follow yet very fair to everyone. Maybe i should start a poll and let the flaming begin.
