From: Zoe Llewelyn You do not seem to understand, sir. LL ALLOWED and had a system specifically FOR registering using a Cell Phone number. It has zero to do with faking anything. It was how LL set up the registration system. Prior to 6-6-06 you could register using EITHER a CC number OR a Cell Phone number. oh ok, lol soz, madame  however, maybe giving a cell fone numebr doesnt count then? how can they trace som1 via a fone number these days neway, its so easy to just throw out an old sim card and get a new free sim card for your cell if u really wanted

Payment info used: User has to pay for monthly service. I havent upgraded to premium as of yet, simply because I havent had a need to buy land. Hopefully land owners will realize that even if it says Payment info on file, and not Payment info used, doesnt mean they dont buy lindens or contribute to the economy. I doubt many will ban payment info on file accounts though, this seems more targeted at no payment info accounts. Anyways, thought id mention that even if you buy lindens, you will not have the Payment Info Used on your profile, it will still be Payment Info on File unless you upgrade to a monthly fee account. Sorry for the long-winded post yip, i think that's right... however i have seen where people have entered CC details and purchased L$ and their status is payment info USED... but these people have never been paying monthly, however they did buy the account when we had to pay $9.95 one time fee :/ it's all so confusing

Well this is dumb.
I spent the one-time $10 fee almost two years ago so I get to be "Payment Info Used" even though I just bum around and freeload, but someone who signed up for free within the last month and has bought lindens on Lindex and is actually spending them in the game instead of just bumming around is only "Payment Info On File" and possibly subject to more restrictions.
Maybe I should make a feature request for having the option to list yourself as "Info On File" instead of "Info Used", because if someone is enough of a snob to ban the "on file" people from their land then I don't want to be on their land either.

Perhaps you have just to wait until the credit card has charged the fee and you can not call it back anymore? Just a thought.... P.S. time for LL to get the system running |

I have the nearly same problem. I use paypal and recently only for getting the "payment info used" status I transfered the minimum amount and also exchanged it at Lindex. But my status hasn't changed since then and its about 6 days ago.
Before I only used the slex currency exchange to fund the expenses of my account as they have a better offer for only personal needs.
a slex that has a better offer for small to medium needs.
I asked support about why I am still only with "payment info on file" but I got only a not really sufficient answer of waiting and relong. Thats what I already did then(but just forgotten to mention in the support request I have to admit). I will inquire more... rather with the billing section of ll.
My personal opinion is I dont wanna assume and I dont wanna guess how information ll provides about my account has to be interpreted. Therefore if I have used the payment info (in a transaction) then it should say so. If the rules are different then they should be named different.
And as the TOS (I scanned it only quickly) doesn't say much about the billing info in the profile... the words in the post of Jeska are the only official source of how to interpret it.
