From: Zalandria Zaius I'm pretty sure it's always been legal to put chat relays on your property to monitor your home/business.. Now I think it's still against TOS to post the chat from them. Nice if the scammers only used chat. I suspect that they IM people because of older customers in the vicinity.

The person that I just caught doing this in my store today (thanks to a tip from a customer) was carrying a "sale" sign and wearing a "CMFF Manager" tag. He didn't seem too concerned about being caught. It was the same person who was named in the title of the thread that was closed yesterday. I'll be happy to pass the name to anyone who wants to make sure they have it on their ban lists. Just send me an IM or PM.

Telling customers he was the manager of Naughty Designs, and offering our skins half off for Father's Day. The skins he was giving out were not our actual skins, but default avatar skins. I was not here as I was on vacation, but my business partner had to deal with this moron (with help from some friends.. ty Willow and Kat!) Anyway, great post Storma, and suprising seeing so many others experiencing this. Thanks SunenRec Ayoob for the suggestion, will be checking it out.

Same person as on SLU thread, Chip? http://www.sluniverse.com/forums/Topic7854-18-1.aspxPost there as well, so there is a better overview of who is being scammed by him.

I want to GREATLY thank everyone who posted on this and brining it to my attention. "Said" person was actually IN my store a few hours ago, while I was there...I do not know if any of my customers were contacted but "said person" has been banned along with a few other names. I thanked Wendy several times, but again, ty. It really boils me to think my customers would get ripped off by jerks like these.
I'd be HAPPY to get together with any other people who is going thru this if I can do anything to help, or also pass along a few names. Anything to keep these scumy jerks from infecting our stores.

Kind of a sad topic considering in some context its the own persons fault unless they havent shopped anywhere else b4 but *sigh* things are going to happen and there isnt much we can do about it. Regardless pretty screwed up. I advise looking out for it and a note to people most STORES do not have employee's check the objects in the store check for a group they are in and check if that person is actually associated with that person before you go into a deal like the X2 thing.
I hope it doesnt happen in the future.

Thanks, Joannah Cramer.
This makes some more sense, then. Though I have items that are "no modify" AND "no transfer" yet copiable. This, of course, makes no sense to me. How many copies of something do I need if they are all the same and I can't modify them?
I just think that items should be "no copy" and "no modify" yet transferable.
I spent a lot of money here when I first started. And, like others, ended up with a lot of stuff I find I no longer use. I"ve also met a lot of newbies who I'd like to have given some of this stuff too ... but find this "no transfer" prohibits that.
So much for me trying to be generous.
