I agree! It has my votes, and I'll give this a place in my sig, as well!

Unfortunately, Crucial you're also posting this in every other thread in the forum.

It's not merry. It's spam.

Just for the sake of saying. Don`t you think its too late for this? The damage is done. Closing will prevent more problems but the long lasting impact is rooted in the game.
we have what now 25,000+ new accounts since then........and growing..........

I don't want you punished. But we all know about the proposal by now. It's just not necessary to continue spamming every thread. It's simply a polite request.

I don't think she wants that either but i was talking to her just a little while ago and she is very personally concerned over this issue as is many mnay others are and is just trying to get to as many people as possible to vote.

Admittedly being quite annoying at the same time but then Cru can get that way when she digs her heals in to an issue like this.

I have not been personally affected by the problem of the no-V accounts.

But I don't like the projections and implications of such a system.

So this proposal got the first votes I ever put in.

Oh, shit. The fire has already destroyed our kitchen. We might as well just let the house burn down now, the damage is done!

Oh hogwash. Its a mess, but it's not gone. Yes, I'm inworld - every day, for hours a day. Close the gates, start banning, the problem will be fixed. It might take a few weeks, but it will be fixed, same as when they offered a bajillion free accounts last time.

That's a tad overstated.

This is hysterical. And by that I mean you are engaging in hysterics, not that you are particularly funny. Although I suppose that is also true. There may be a problem with the new registration system. I'm not convinced yet, as some others are, but we'll see. The grid is hardly in any state of emergency.

Well, as the registration is so open now, why not make a few alts and dump all their votes into the prop? If 10 people make say, 5 alts.. that's 500 votes right there.. And there's more than 10 people who want the old registration back.

Of course, when they announced this, the Linden said they were studying the effect it has, so this isn't set in stone like some other decisions that have been made. Yet.

Dont forget that in all threads discussing the issue mentioning the ONE voting proposal helps to keep someone ELSE from creating a duplicate proposal. Its best to keep all the votes in one place rather than spread them out.

I fully support Crucial on this one.

The irony is, with the verification system as it is, alts can be used to skew votes... :D

On the surface that sounds like a good idea and yes it was actually funny seeing people do it and the irony of showing them yet another area that can be so easily abused with this new system... I think another thread shows why it's not such a great idea to continue doing it.

From: someone
Also, working shifts as of late has become, well, frankly, horrendous at times. All the extra griefing you're seeing? Imagine having to deal with that times 10, for several hours straight, with no choice to just log out

Why does it feel like armageddon in world as of late, if the stats are saying otherwise?

Is it true there isn't more calculated griefers in world than should be expected based on population?

I still say No, but that's what the current numbers indicate. Now, why is this?

I think there are two things leading to the data giving a false impression of what's actually happening:

2) A sharp increase in the number of Joke Accounts. The threads with these were hilarious, but recently, I got to thinking, the sheer number of new, not for use, just for puns and giggles accounts my be obfuscating the statistics of new griefer accounts. This is just a theory, obviously.

2) Stop with the joke/fake accounts. This, in my theory, obfuscates the griefer stats, and also, ups the numbers of signups, making the CC thing look like more of a success. In fact, I'd go so far as to ask you established types to contact LL and have your new fake extra menagerie of accounts deleted. I know making a new alt is as difficult to resist as touching that button you were asked not to, but I think putting a halt to the 'legitimate (not griefing)' yet never to be used accounts may help.
